While birding Longnecker Gardens at the Arb about ten this morning, I found
a Northern Shrike atop one of the leafless trees. As is their wont, it hung
around on the tree for about a minute, proceeded to a second treetop perch
for another minute or so, and then took off towards Lake Wingra.
Otherwise, the usual Robins, House Finches, Siskins, Cardinals, Chickadees,
et al.
