Ditto, Steve. I observed the Widespread this moring too (9-9:30 AM from
Yahara Road) and had the two White-fronted and 14 Pintails plus the regularÂ
others, but missed the Mute Swan and Ring-necked Duck (darn). Lower Mud Lake
had too much shimmer for good views from Lewis Park on north side. South side
at Duck Blind would be better but I didn't try it. Wind was high and wind
chill was low. You were on County B? YIKES, you biked. Amazing!Mary

Biked to the Yahara River widespread. A lot of new stuff in, so Lower Mud
should be good ,also.
Had 1 Mute Swan, 38 Tundra Swans, 200 Canada and 2 White-fronted Geese, 3
Shovelers, 2 Wigeon , 18 Gadwall, 11 pintail, 70 Mallard, 3 Black 1 Bufflehead,
1 Ring-necked, 6 Redhead, 13 Canvasback, 37 Lesser Scaup, 110 C. Goldeneye and
21 C. Mergansers. Everything moved around a lot, so some numbers are my best
guess. Steve Thiessen Stoughton Dane co.
