Shore birds showed up at the pond/flooded field along County K at Ashton. My wife and I saw a Wilson's Snipe, a Greater Yellowlegs, and Pectoral Sandpipers there this evening. These were in a muddy area with patches of grass, which made it difficult to see them. It was best to view them from a distance with a scope. A group of 20 to 30 birds flew off as we stopped the car closer to the birds. Also there were Green-winged and Blue-winged Teal, American Wigeon, Wood Duck. Good birding.
