I've never seen anything like it! Yesterday morning as I was looking out our back windows, I noticed a crow flying at an odd angle, steeply upward: It was clearly after a small bird which was trying hard to get away. Both of them disappeared out of sight to the west, but the crow was soon back with the bird in its beak. The crow landed in the snow in our backyard, and I could see it had a male House Finch, still flapping. The crow renewed its grip several times, then flew off with the finch before I could get a photo.
