I?m sure I?m not the only one who got the new Crossley guide and I?m curious to hear what others think about it. Granted that I didn?t have much time to leaf thru it but my first impression is slight disappointment. I think many plates are too dark and it is difficult to see details in birds. Especially dark birds seem to lack data and I wonder if this is a printing mistake and if it will be fixed with next editions. I also feel that backgrounds are too busy in many plates. What works well with ducks and other waterfowl do not seem to work generally. Mikko (Outagamie County) PS. Sorry about the typo regarding my mail sent yesterday. I obviously meant to write *G*rosbeaks #################### You received this email because you are subscribed to the Wisconsin Birding Network (Wisbirdn).
