The Wed morning Nelson Institute Capstone 600 Birding Class visited the UW
Arboretum and enjoyed sightings of flocks of Pine Siskins, House Finches,
Robins and Wild Turkey at Longnecker Gardens, several species of Woodpeckers in
Wingra Woods and Mallards at Big Spring where Chuck Henrikson who kindly helped
lead the outing spotted a highlight Northern Shrike perched atop a tree in the
marsh.
