While photographing backyard birds today I had a Cooper's Hawk land in a
tree fairly far away. When I focused on it, I saw that it had a metal band
on its left leg. Since it was so far away, I'm doubting that I'll be able to
get any numbers from the photos, but I will check to make sure.
The backyard was fairly active with a White-throated Sparrow, 3 Fox
Sparrows, Hairy, Downy, and Red-bellied Woodpeckers, and 1 Goldfinch as
highlights.
