Not necessarily a "true" sign of spring (as they seem to turn up here or
there, every-so-often through the winter around my area), but I spotted 5
Eastern Bluebirds this morning -- feeding on crabapples in the Green Lake
Conference Center. A couple were even singing!

American Tree Sparrow is singing his little heart out today, too -- and a
chickadee sang yesterday! And the sun is still out at 5 p.m. (though just
barely).

Despite bone-chilling temps and piles of snow everywhere you look, a male
cardinal was singing this morning from atop my neighbor's house in Bay View
(south of downtown Milwaukee). So it looks like spring is coming!
