Hi everyone--
As I'm sure you know, Don and Lillian Stokes have published a new field guide 
to the birds of North America.

I interviewed the Stokeses recently while preparing our semi-annual roundup of 
books for birdwatchers for the December issue. This morning I put 14 of the 
best questions and answers - including why they feel that photographs are 
always more accurate than drawings; why they omitted conservation information 
from the field guide; and why in the history of North American Bird 
identification, shape has taken a backseat to plumage -- on our blog:
