There may be a price break for government agencies. I am not really =
sure how their prices are structured but I know a lot of software =
companies discount for government and schools.

I knew citrix would handle there security issues; however we were =
looking to
eliminate the need for the extra expense of citrix..since 9/11, a lot of =
our
agencies are having budgetary problems, we are looking for a more cost
efficient solution. Thanks for the info though, I will certainly look =
into
it for agencies with a larger budget for there wireless projects. Thanks =
for
the responses.

none that I know of.=3D20

Get Citrix, and run secure ICA which is now included with all versions =
=3D
of Metaframe. The ICA protocol handles low bandwidth very well and you =
=3D
can even just publish the one app so that is all they run without the =
=3D
extra clutter of a full desktop. Jim runs a great Citrix/thin list =3D
that could probably further answer any questions you may have about =3D
Citrix and security. sign up at www.thethin.net

Hi group,

We have an app we sell to law enforcement community. I have been looking =
=3D
at
terminal server as a wireless option for running our app from their car =
=3D
with
the least amount of performance issues. Of course, with law enforcement,
security is a big issue for them. I thought I read that citrix was a =3D
needed
addition if you needed high security. I was wondering if there were =3D
secure
solutions w/out the citrix addon. Any input greatly appreciated!!!
