Well, on win2k, you probably had indexing service enabled....If it's not = on XP, it will take more time to search files. I'm not an XP user myself, but I'm pretty sure that XP has an indexing = service as well. Under win2k, you can install it by going to add/remove programs --> = add/remove windows components.
