Thanks Douglas, I have double checked the DHCP server on that site and it is configured correctly (and the same as that on the working site). I have also checked the WINS server and that is listing all the PCs in the (non-working) site correctly. Any ideas? -----Original Message----- From: Jensen, Douglas [mailto:douglas.jensen@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: 18 October 2004 15:10 To: windows2000@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [windows2000] Re: Site not appearing in Network Neighbourhood / My Network Places. Could this be a WINS Server issue? I think the computers that show up in Network Neighborhood get there from the Browser service and that gets its names from the WINS server. Maybe the computers in the segment that is not showing up have an incorrect WINS server listed or have none listed. They could be getting this information from the DHCP server or it could be hard coded into the TCP/IP configuration of the computers. Or the WINS server on that segment may not be working correctly or there is none in existence. We have 2 remote sites, both with an identical connection (i.e. same link, same router, same firewall, same basic config, etc). The issue I have is that for one of the sites none of the PC's are appearing in either Network Neighbourhood or My Network Places in Head Office. All the PC's are appearing locally and the other regional office. The PCs are missing from the NN/MNP on all the PC's and servers have I have checked from head office. Other than being missing from the list nothing else is affected, i.e. the full range of services are working from and to the regional office. This wasn't always the case, I am sure they were all listed not that long ago. Nothing (that I am aware of) has changed in the network configuration. Any ideas?
