Ray,

I used in the past MailMAX and IMail.

MailMAX is a great software from a mediocre company. Smartmax thinks
that their costumers are beta-testers, their product lack on features
that "will be implemented on the next version". But the costumer have
to pay more $ 500 for it. I had a server that had the MailMAX service
stopping at each 5 mintues. Their support ever argue that this is
because the moon alignment with the sun, that could be interpreted as
"f*** you".

IMail is a robust mailserver full of "not useful services" like
Finger. But it's great, some ISP are using it, but I dislike their
interface.

I'm using since january a mailserver called Merak, it's robust,
well-written, full of useful services at a good price/performance
ratio. I suggest you test this software and after see that there's
some third party you can't blame. =^) www.icewarp.com

Fernando Monteiro
