Interestingly if you go into Internet Options, Advanced, Browsing and then take
the tick out of "Enable folder view for FTP sites". Close the browser and then
go back into the FTP site it actually shows the folder date correctly... but
you can't create folders using this mode.

Shame really as I didn't want to have to use a ftp client..

Ho Hum

Thanks for all the replies

Subject: [windows2000] Internet Explorer + FTP site = wrong year

  Anyone come across this... ?

Using IE to browse to a ftp site on a unix box. Can log in and copy files
etc.
  BUT...
If I create a new folder (right click, new etc) it creates fine.. but with the
year set at 2004 - time and day/month are correct.

I got the sysadmin to check the date/time on this UNIX box and he says it is
OK. He says it's an IE issue.

Is there a work around or setting within IE that I can set ?

  Thanks

  Davey
