[windows2000] Re: IE7

While some people look down on them, I think that batch scripts are
wonderful tools. That's what I have used in the past to maintain Mozilla
installations.
The last time I deployed Firefox enterprise-wide was on a WAN running
Novell NetWare with ZenWorks. In short, the way I managed it was:
- Made an application "snapshot" for ZenWorks of the Firefox
installation
- Changed all of the program settings to the ones that I wanted to
mandate
- Modified the Firefox application in ZenWorks to use the mandatory
settings, and to deploy them on the first installation
- For each update thereafter, I would only have to replace the
appropriate files in the application deployment, and increment the
version counter, and the files were automatically updated on the next
execution of the program.
I'm well aware that this is not a ZenWorks mailing list... but I know
that Firefox has been deployed across several enterprises that run AD.
