C'mon Ray.. VCR's were so YESTERDAY. -----Original Message----- From: Costanzo, Ray [mailto:rcostanzo@xxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Friday, November 07, 2003 2:54 PM To: windows2000@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [windows2000] Re: For all you Tivo fans Man, the off-topic posts are out of control these days. (That is not a complaint.) I determined the other day that I would have 14 TiVos if the damn subscription cost were charged per-household instead of per-unit. Sometimes I just want to kill myself knowing that I've spent over a grand on a damn guide service. Yeah, yeah, yeah, I know that it's more than just the guide service you're paying for, but I don't think so anyway. You're basically paying a ransom to use the software. Or, you could say it's a licensing fee just like any other software. But come on, at least offer a bulk discount. It's pretty hard for me to convince someone to buy a TiVo for $800 ($400 for 80 hour unit, $100 for media upgrade, and $300 for subscription) over a $90 VCR that does the same thing in a naive person's opinion.
