Ray @ work needs to get back to work. And when Ray goes home he needs to stop
watching TV. Hey Ray I have a way you can save 50% on your cable bills. Okay
here it is, take whatever you currently spend on cable/TiVo you name it and
write me a check for that amount. Then take the other half and put it in the
bank. There I saved your 50% :-)

Man, the off-topic posts are out of control these days. (That is not a
complaint.)

I determined the other day that I would have 14 TiVos if the damn
subscription cost were charged per-household instead of per-unit.
Sometimes I just want to kill myself knowing that I've spent over a
grand on a damn guide service. Yeah, yeah, yeah, I know that it's more
than just the guide service you're paying for, but I don't think so
anyway. You're basically paying a ransom to use the software. Or, you
could say it's a licensing fee just like any other software. But come
on, at least offer a bulk discount. It's pretty hard for me to convince
someone to buy a TiVo for $800 ($400 for 80 hour unit, $100 for media
upgrade, and $300 for subscription) over a $90 VCR that does the same
thing in a naive person's opinion.
