I mean I created the computer "objects" in ADU&C.  I just joined another
computer to the domain using the Network Identification wizard and it made
another "object" in the Computers container, despite a computer object
already existing in the OU structure.

It's odd.  I'm not sure which one should be in the OU in order to apply
GPO's to machines.  I'm going to try disabling some of the objects to see
which ones are actually needed next week.
