This is pretty handy.. I have someone whose Messenger seems to start & =
log him in randomly. This would work, but he does occasionally want to =
run Messenger. If I made him another file with the opposite commands in =
it:
sc <computername> config messenger start=3Denabled
sc <computername> start messenger
would this turn Messenger back on?

BTW the <ComputerName> part is optional... leave it out and it will =3D
execute
on the local machine.

sc <computername> config messenger start=3D3Ddisabled
This uses SC.exe from the resource kit.

Is it possible to change a service's properties from a command line?
I want to be able to make a batch file that stops a service, then =3D3D
disables it. The messenger service to be exact.
