sc <computername> stop messenger
sc <computername> config messenger start=disabled

This uses SC.exe from the resource kit.

Hope this helps,

Subject: [windows2000] Command Line / Batch File Question

Is it possible to change a service's properties from a command line?

I want to be able to make a batch file that stops a service, then =
disables it. The messenger service to be exact.

Greg
