Hi list, Does anyone know what services need to be running in order for a computer to respond to a winchat request? The remote computer I'm trying to connect to is running Windows 2000 Pro, SP2. I started the Net DDE service as well as the Net DDE DSDM, whatever that is. Every time I try to winchat it, I immediately get "the remote computer did not respond." I'm an administrator on both computers, so it shouldn't be a permissions issue. I also started the RPC service on the remote computer thinking maybe it's that. I'm able to Winchat NT 4 computers no problem. We're all on the same network, domain, subnet, or whatever else! Thanks a lot, Ray at work ********************************************************************** This email and any files transmitted with it are confidential and intended solely for the use of the individual or entity to whom they are addressed.
