I'm glad that I'm a member of this list. I seem to learn something from
it about everyday. I say that because my boss wants my IT duties to be
secondary to everything else. So my experience is limited and this list
is a great resource for me!!

Eureka!

rasdial.exe, from %systemroot%\system32...

USAGE:
        rasdial entryname [username [password|*]] [/DOMAIN:domain]
                [/PHONE:phonenumber] [/CALLBACK:callbacknumber]
                [/PHONEBOOK:phonebookfile] [/PREFIXSUFFIX]

        rasdial [entryname] /DISCONNECT

        rasdial

So, in my case, I set up AutoAdminLogon with the user's account details.
Then I created a .cmd file that had one line:

c:\winnt\system32\rasdial "DCCI VPN" <username> <password>

Then I put a shortcut to this .cmd file in the user's
StartMenu->Programs->Startup folder.

Reboot, and the machine logs on as this user, and then promptly connects
to the VPN.

Slicker than S*$t,
