error wen ripping

Hello. I tried to rip a CD with 5.2 and 5.3 but I get this error every single 
time no matter what format I decode to rip with.

Error
Error ripping track #1: Can't open decoder
Aborting.
OK 

What do I do here/ I've tried choosing wav, aac and other formats to try and no 
go. Thanks.
