if you really difficult to find the auto update option to turn it off, look for
the winamp.ini found under c:\Program files\winamp
folder.
open this file and search for the line
jtfe_autoupdate=1
change the value 1 to 0, e.g.
jtfe_autoupdate=0
then restart winamp.

Hello list members.
I uninstalled and reinstalled Winamp V5.35.
But every now and then, that new update for Winamp window pops up.
I tried to get out of it, and it wouldn't let me.
I had to restart my computer to get red of it.
I went in to preferences, but I couldn't find the check box to disable auto
updates.
Can someone please tell me where to look for that?
