Hi d j doctor, it is in the general preferences tab, just 1 rung below
the winamp pro option, just find the check box that says something like
check for new versions of winamp at start up, and uncheck this, and
that update problem should go away.

Hello list members.
I uninstalled and reinstalled Winamp V5.35.
But every now and then, that new update for Winamp window pops up.
I tried to get out of it, and it wouldn't let me.
I had to restart my computer to get red of it.
I went in to preferences, but I couldn't find the check box to disable
auto updates.
Can someone please tell me where to look for that?
