Hi Mitch. In Winamp Library, under Internet Radio I'm not sure there's
anything to specify your connection speed; many radio stations stream in
broadband; when you've got your list of stations, go through them and pay
attention to the last number spoken at each station; if it's, say, 24, or 32,
for instance, that's likely a modem stream; if you hear 56, or 96, that's a
broadband stream and you should be fine. If you go to Winamp Music in the
Library, there's a combo box where you can highlight broadband connection; then
in the listview you'll likely get the streams for broadband. HTH

      Hi Mitch,

The biggest thing to do is to go to preferences and under the general
branch of the tree view, use the tab key to highlight the connection combo box
and highlight always connected: LAN, DSL, cable (one of three).

Other things you might consider is to allow all streams to list in the
Winamp Library. By this I mean that you should make sure that when you enter
the library, that you don't have any connection limitations such as limiting
the streaming quality to 24 or 48 KBPS. After all you're with the big boys
now, the sky's the limit! <laugh>!

Hi All. I just got a broadband connection and I am wondering weather I
need to change anything in winamp to help it stream better? it seems to be
streaming pretty well I was just wondering. many thanks. from Mich Verrier from

          Hi Folks:

Has anyone had any problems with unusual breakup while streaming
audio with the latest version of winamp?

          Thanks all over the place.
