Wendy, I had sent this to another user a while back and it describes ripping
and then burning, should someone wish to do so. since you are new, you
would not have seen it so I'll resend it. Hope this helps.

John

Note: this is long, so those readers who already know this information, you
may not wish to waste your time on this correspondence.
I do this all the time and it works very well for me.

1. I place my CD in the drive and close the drawer. Note: I have Winamp set up to be my default player so the music on the CD starts playing in Winamp in the main window). 2. I stop play by pressing V and then either open the Library or go to it using control tab (if already opened). 3. When in the library, I press tab until I hear "Library." at that point, I down arrow until I hear "CDRD" and then tab hearing first the playlist, next play, then enqueue, and then rip. 4. Hitting the spacebar or enter here will bring up another selection option...rip all tracks or rip selected tracks. Although I have tried to>figure out how to rip only selected tracks, I have been unsuccessful, sorry about that, so I select rip all tracks and press enter. The ripping begins. Note: If you haven't already, go to preferences by using ctrl P,
hitting home to go to the top of the preferences list, and then down arrow
until you hear ripping speed. Tab at that point until you hear unlimited,
enter on it. Since it is Winamp Pro, it should set to the level of your
CDRW
drive.
5. when it is completed, you can eject your CD and the CD you ripped is
now in your "MY Music" directory.

To burn:
1. Go to the winamp playlist editor.
2. Press ctrl o to open your files, shift tab to your play lists and you
should hear it say "playlists 1 of 118" (or whatever number of playlists
you have. Note: you may not need to open the playlists if you go here
immediately after ripping, since the tracks you just ripped are already in
your playlist editor.
3. If necessary, then select the playlist you desire, the one you ripped,
and hit enter. It may then ask you to again select the folder with a
specific extention, such as PLS or something, just enter on the one you
want, and your tracks will open in your playlist editor.
4. Now press ctrl tab and go to your library (or open your library. Then
tab until you hear "library". Stop there and arrow down until you hear
"CDRD."
5. Tab again hearing the selection "add button." I hit enter and get a
menu to select either file, folder, or current playlist. select current
playlist since you have just selected it in the editor.
6. When it is done adding all the tracks into your library list, you need
to continue to tab a couple of times until you hear "list view, x number
of
items" Note: the first time you do this, it won't be a problem, you
should hear the number of tracks that exist in your current playlist, and
if you
arrow up and down the list, you'll hear the track number and title.
However, on subsequent ripping opportunities,, if you do not clear the
current burning list, you'll simply add the new tracks to the previous
tracks, so be careful.
7. Tab or back tab until you hear burn. Be sure you place a blank CD
recordable in your CDRW drive, and press enter here and you'll get some
choices and information. It will tell you about some test burn choices,
tell you your burning speed, etc., I just go directly to burn now. Press
it and the burning will begin. When done, if you have it set this way,
the
drive will open and your new CD will eject (I believe this is a default
setting, but not for sure.
