Problem with Winamp Version 5.6.0.3091 & AACPlus Audio Files

When I play AACPlus audio files that I have ripped from CD using Winamp Version 5.6.0.3091 (the latest version, I believe), I get a fluttering clicking sound in the playback. I do not have this problem when I use Realplayer (the only other player I have that plays AACPlus), and I do not have the problem with MP3 or M4A audio files; nor did I have it using the previous version of Winamp.

Is this a known problem; is it being addressed? I'd like to avoid rolling back my version of Winamp, if at all possible.

Thank you.
