Well you could scp them, edit them, scp them back. But I assume
me want something less "manual". If so then not built in.

Though you could write a program to attach to a wily window and
scp the changed data to the remote machine when a 'Put' command
is executed. I doubt it would be worth the effort.

Wily isn't the appropriate place for the solution anyway, making
remote files appear on the filesystem should be done at the 
filesystem level not in each individual program. For linux
there is http://shfs.sourceforge.net/ which does filesystem
mounts over ssh.
