[webproducers] Re: Need Help Writing Job Description

This job posting looks complete to me.

In the past, when working for global companies and hiring web production
people, I trolled through comparable job listings to find the right
combination of job terms and level of detail. Basically making sure our job
listings were at least comparable to others candidates saw.

Another issue was to include "tough" or "negotiable" terms that few people
could meet and, therefore, could be used to politely reject candidates if
that proved necessary (happily, we never had to reject people with those
particular terms). Hope that helps.

Tim

Subject: [webproducers] Need Help Writing Job Description

Hello all!

I=B9m an SVP Digital Strategy at a PR/communications firm in Washington DC.
I=B9m new to this list, so I=B9m not going to include the company name or
links because I don=B9t know if it=B9s cool to look like I=B9m trawling for
candidates here.=20

I=B9m looking to hire a =B3digital deputy=B2 who would help me determine
strategy for various client needs, but who would primarily be in charge of
either managing or executing SEO/SEM/OEO campaigns, as well as project
managing various digital builds (sites, minisites, apps, redeisgns, etc.).

I=B9d love to hear thoughts and opinions regarding:

1. Is there enough description in this job description to give an accurate
sense of what exactly the job entails?
2. Does the job title match the duties described?
3. Is it good or bad to mention the SVP=B9s awards and experiences?
4. What would your salary range expectations be for this job?
5. Any general guidance or questions or thoughts about how to make this
posting more descriptive or attractive

Also, once I do get this description tweaked, I=B9d like to post it obn
webproducers.org if there=B9s a place where it=B9s cool to do so... Guidance
on that, too, would be appreciated. Thanks, all!

-Chris B.
