My name is Pam Lunsford, I am a recruiter that specializes in placing User
Experience and related Interactive professionals nationwide. I am reaching
out to you today in hopes of doing a little networking with you. My client
located in Yonkers, NY is the foremost authority and ?go to? resource for
expert independent and unbiased product information in the United States.
This highly respected organization is actively seeking a full-time on staff
Web Art Director and a Contract Web Designer. Details of both positions are
below. The full time role includes a 35 hour work week and over time paid at
time and half, fantastic benefits and yearly increases. Amazingly this is a
Guild position! The contract is for 6 months on site and will be primarily a
support role handling a lot of maintenance.
I was hoping to discover who you know that would be a good fit for either of
these positions.
Full-Time on Staff - Web Art Director
Requirements include:
* Senior designer with least 5 or more years experience as a lead
designer for a large, well-known site. (A must)
* Very strong design background with the ability to take a style guide
and apply it appropriately and creatively to solve design solutions.
* Highly skilled at translating complicated information problems into
clean and simple interaction design.
* Ability to work very effectively independently, but also is a very
good team player and can communicate well with other departments such as
other designers, editorial, ia, web production, and tech.
* Extremely organized and efficient.
* Expert skills at Photoshop and Fireworks. (A Must)
* Experience with coding HTML (rudimentary low level) and familiar
with application of stylesheets.
* Flash and/or video experience would be a plus.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE HEAVY WEB EXPERIENCE AND WORK SAMPLES FROM
WELL KNOWN SITES
6 Month Limited Duration ? Web Designer ? On Site
* Mid-level designer with least 3 or more years experience.
* Strong design sense for handling photo and image work.
* Ability to work very effectively independently, but also is a very
good team player and can communicate well with other departments such as
other designers, editorial, ia, web production, and tech.
* Extremely organized and efficient.
* Expert skills at Photoshop and Fireworks.
* Experience with coding HTML and familiar with application of
stylesheets.
* Is comfortable working on design spec documents and helping to build
design style guides.
This is a support /maintenance role.
