Paul,
Yes, the computer that shows this behaviour is a brand new Thinkpad with
SP2, automatic updates activated, so I assume I have the latest patches
of about everything. All older machines, even my Mac running OS X, cooperate
perfectly with my device.
Tried a lot to fix this in the meantime, but without any succes, so any help
on this is greatly appreciated.

I am developing a Class compliant USB MIDI Device so that I can avoid
having to write a driver. Everything works fine, device installs
properly
on all XP equipped machines, but on a few computers, the MIDI Ports do
not show up in the applications. Tried to compare driver versions,
compared
registry entries without success.
Any idea how I could debug this?
