Thanks, but I really don’t know how to do it. I do feel that since others are
having the same problem that this will be resolved.

Hi Linda, if you interested and know how to do it you could open up an elevated
command prompt on you PC and run nslookup (just right click on CMD and run as
administrator, then just type nslookup (return) in the CMD prompt window and
when it gives you the > prompt just type in www.hulu.com<http://www.hulu.com> )
to see which Hulu server your PC is trying to use.. On my Mac I get the
following:
Timothys-MBP:~ tjm$ nslookup
www.hulu.com<http://www.hulu.com>
Server: 10.121.77.1
Address: 10.121.77.1#53
Non-authoritative answer:
www.hulu.com<
http://www.hulu.com> canonical name = san.huluqa.com.edgekey.net.
san.huluqa.com.edgekey.net<
http://san.huluqa.com.edgekey.net> canonical name =
e11484.e12.akamaiedge.net.
Name: e11484.e12.akamaiedge.net<
http://e11484.e12.akamaiedge.net>
Address: 104.88.27.33
You can see that on my DNS (I use Google’s Public DNS at 8.8.8.8 with 8.8.4.4
as a backup) www.hulu.com<
http://www.hulu.com> is resolving to Akamai edge
server id e11484.e12 at address 104.88.27.33.
However if I switch to Comodo Secure DNS at 8.26.56.26 I get
server 8.26.56.26
Default server: 8.26.56.26
Address: 8.26.56.26#53
www.hulu.com<http://www.hulu.com>
Server: 8.26.56.26
Address: 8.26.56.26#53
Non-authoritative answer:
www.hulu.com<
http://www.hulu.com> canonical name = san.huluqa.com.edgekey.net.
san.huluqa.com.edgekey.net<
http://san.huluqa.com.edgekey.net> canonical name =
e11484.e12.akamaiedge.net.
Name: e11484.e12.akamaiedge.net<
http://e11484.e12.akamaiedge.net>
Address: 104.106.243.165
Same name but a very different IP address (104.106.243.165 vs 104.88.27.33)
If your DNS is resolving to a different server (possible if you are using a
different DNS provider), it would explain why you're having a problem and I’m
not. This does nothing to solve your problem, but is an interesting bit of
info. Different devices on different networks may use different DNS servers,
and since different DNS servers may resolve a URL to different IP addresses, it
can explain why some people/devices are seeing a problem and others are not.

Just sent you a link to down detector.com, looks like Hulu might be having
some generalized problems.

All of the above. I just followed your link and got my IP address. On the TV

tried to log in on the computer and was told the web page was unavailable. I
tried a few other ways of getting to HULU but nothing worked.

Hi Linda,
Again when you say you cannot get Hulu, does that mean which of the following:
• you can’t even display their web page
• you can get on their web page but you can’t sign-in
• you can sign-in but you can’t see any content
• You can see content but it won’t play

Yes I cannot get HULU tonight. I tried their web site and everything. I do

If anyone is losing access to Hulu, it would probably be helpful to WBS if you
could be more descriptive of the problem. Some information that would be
useful is;
• What device are you using to access it.
• Have you tried other devices.
• When you say you can’t access it, does that mean you can’t even login, or you
can login but can’t get to any content or you can get to content but you can’t
play it (you get an "Error playing this video” message).
• Also what is your WBS assigned IP address, my is 8.20.190.66 and I have no
problems with Hulu (you can see your external WBS assigned IP address by
simply going to:
https://whatismyipaddress.com ;). If folks with the same shared
IP address are not having issues with Hulu, then the IP address is not the
problem. For example, if anyone sharing 8.20.190.66 with me is having problems
accessing Hulu, then it certainly isn’t the shared IP address since I have no
problems.
As far as I know, Hulu doesn’t use any of the normal spam blacklists. It does
keep its own blacklist of IP’s that have attempted to access the service using
a VPN or a Proxy server (see
https://help.hulu.com/en-us/identified-as-anonymous-proxy ;). It’s import to
get the details to understand the problem. One way to get the most information
is to use a web browser on a PC or MAC to login directly to Hulu.com and see if
you can watch content in the browser. If there is a problem you might get more
detailed information there than if you're using a simple smart TV.

So we just lost access to Hulu...could be completely unrelated to the wbs issue
but regardless not too happy right now 😟 From what I remember Hulu does not
work with vpn services. I hope this gets resolved soon and worried what else I
am going to get blocked from.
