The ice out contest on Moore's Pond continues.
The dark color of the stump pedestal seems to be melting the ice on the
south side of the dog, so that there is now a noticeable forward listing of
the arrangement, even though there is plenty of thick (but spongy) ice all
around. As it seems possible/likely that the stump could tip over before
everything completely punches through the ice, I'd like to clarify the
definition. Ice out will be declared (for the purposes of our game) when
Duncan sinks completely.
As of today, the date of twenty people's guesses have passed, and fifteen
guesses are still in the running.
As I said, the ice is spongy. Please don't go out and check up close.
Only Duncan sinks in this game.
