I second that. VisionAware is my VRT "go to" site for training and resources. It has considerably reduced the amount of time I spend lesson planning. Yall keep it up!! Erica A. A colleague needed to speak at a career fair and wanted to give out some printed info on what VRTs, O&M instructors, and LVTs do. I told her to check out VisionAware and the AFB senior site. Well, lo and behold, she found the "Find Vision Rehabilitation Professionals" page on VisionAware, with a description of each one and links to all kinds of cool info, even videos. Perfect! 2. I am doing a mini center right now (small group instruction), and yesterday we were teaching them how to dial the phone by touch using the home row/three finger method. One person wanted the information in writing so he could show it to his family, who could then help him practice (it was sort of a difficult concept for him). I started to type it up myself, and then thought, "Why don't I look at the VisionAware site?" And, of course, there was a great explanation of the method (plus all kinds of other info we teach about phones). Can I ever say thank you enough for the work you and your colleagues have done on this site????
