[visionrehabtherapist] Re: Michigan AER Call for Papers

would any one want to do a round table on the pros and cons (not necessarily
the correct words) of maintaining certification or AER membership? This is not
meant to be a passive aggressive statement, but one that I am struggling with
at the moment. Not necessarily struggling, but, perhaps, thinking, to what end?

I also think that talking about whether or not an VRT personality exists...one
that does not make our profession stronger, one where we as professionals feel
insecure, invisible, insignificant, whatever, that we spend more time trying to
convince ourselves and our coworkers of our value and purpose, yet overlooking
our value and purpose? Do we actually encourage independence, or encourage
dependence in a subtle way?

No finger pointing, here, except, at myself. I think that these are
conversations that need to extend outside of Michigan and get more input from
private agency and federal program workers....
just thinking with my fingers...

Subject: [visionrehabtherapist] Michigan AER Call for Papers

Share your experience and knowledge with the Michigan AER membership. YOU make
a difference in our Association. We grow more as professionals when we share
our ideas and expertise. It is time to step out of the audience and share your
experiences and knowledge with your peers. Why not team up with a colleague as
other presenters have done, if you are uncomfortable about presenting alone.

Submit a proposal for a 60-75 minute session or panel. The theme for this
year’s conference is Making It Happen!.

Enclosed are a “Call for Presentation” application and the procedure for
submission information. Please note the due date for submission of proposals is
Friday, December 3, 2010. You will receive written notice as to whether your
proposed presentation will be included in the program no later than January 27,
2010.

Submit the completed form by e-mail on or before December 3, 2010 to:
