Eleanor I think the final option is what I'm looking for, I'll give it a go. I'm not familiar with pp (as you may have gathered) but its great to have a slide up on the screen that I can actually see. Now I realise how much I was missing in class. Sending it to word has reduced it substantially but to be able to take the notes from the frames is worth it. Thanks Edel.. ----- Original Message ----- From: Eleanor Burke To: vip_students@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Friday, June 13, 2008 8:22 PM Subject: [vip_students] Re: powerpoint and word I am not sure what you mean Edel but you can certainly cut and paste in Powerpoint itself, in Microsoft Word and even if you send the PowerPoint to Word you can do what you want with it. As I said there are many options and you select one. You can make notes beside the slide or below the slide or something which might suit you better is the final option where you save the PowerPoint simply as text and then you just treat it like any other text file, cut and paste, edit away, between paragraphs, lines etc. Eleanor ----- Original Message ----- From: Edel Carey To: vip_students@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Friday, June 13, 2008 8:13 PM Subject: [vip_students] Re: powerpoint and word Hi again Just wondering is there a way to cut and paste text while your in this setup. Maybe I'm pushing it now. Thank you so much, You've made my weekends work much more bearable:). Cheers Edel.. ----- Original Message ----- From: Eleanor Burke To: vip_students@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Thursday, June 12, 2008 10:15 PM Subject: [vip_students] Re: powerpoint and word Yes Edel there certainly is. PowerPoint is designed for this very purpose. Open your PowerPoint presentation then go to the File menu and select Send to Microsoft Office Word. You can do this by Alt + F for file and then up arrow twice, the first you will be on is Properties and then Send To. Then when you are on Send To right arrow across and then use the down arrow until you come to Microsoft Office Word. Then Enter on that. Once you do this you will be in another screen with various options. These options are selected by using the space bar to select the particular radio button you want so you need to decide which suits you. If my instructions are too vague I will write out more thoroughly or talk you through it on the phone if you are by your computer. My question is, is there a way to cascade powerpoint with a word document so that I can take notes from the slides Edel.. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ No virus found in this incoming message.
