Hi Susan,

Try this:

1. While on the desktop and with "nothing selected", use the control +
spacebar to unselect anything which may already be selected such as internet
explorer or some other desktop item.
2. Press the application key, "Third key out from right side of spacebar"
and arrow down to properties. Press enter at this point.
3. Do a control + Tab Key" once to jump onto the desktop tab page.
4. Tab over to "custom" and press the spacebar to enter.
5. Once in here you will be on a list of items. If you use the arrow keys
you will eventually be on"My Documents" and it will most likely say that it
is unchecked. Press the spacebar to check it.
6. Tab to the OK button and press spacebar.
7. Tab over to the OK button again and hit spacebar to finish.

Now hopefully your My Documents shortcut will be back on the desktop once
again.

Paul.
