I have some sight so maybe it is easy for me. 1. Since I prefer mouse to keyboard inputs I have adapted Paul's advice to 1. Hightlight number existing rows in table you want to add below, 2. right click on part of table you highlighted, 3. Then in menu click 'insert', then 'add rows below'. Works fine, except that you cannot add 20 rows below to a three-row table in one go. 2. Column width. Once table is set up, drag vertical lines left or right to suit desired column widths. Ahoy Number 1 As you are on the subject of tables can you or anyone on the list help please! I discovered how to draw a table with correct number of columns & rows by pressing left alt, go into insert & down to tables. When here I shift & tab up to insert rows & columns! However when I went to adjust the column width by selecting the column then finding table properties & in here, column width, here is where the fun begins! Each time I adjust a column to e.g. 2.5 all columns are set to 2.5! What I want to do is set each column to a different width! Please advise! Many thanks Yours Aye Skipper -----Original Message----- From: vip_students-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:vip_students-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of [NCBI] Support Sent: 28 January 2014 12:38 To: vip_students@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [vip_students] Re: Office2013:MS Word Keyboard Shortcuts! Hi Vincent, Try this; 1. When you are ready to add extra rows to say the bottom of your existing table first select the amount of rows from your existing table which you would like to add on to the bottom of it. For example if you want to add three new rows of cells then select the last three rows of the existing table by first going up to the third last row from the bottom preferably into cell one of this row. 2. Now press and hold down the Shift key and then press the down arrow key a total of "Two more" times in order to select the remaining too rows so that now you have a total of three rows selected. 3. Now from where you are, open up the application menu and choose, "Insert" and in here choose "Bottom" if you want to add the new rows to the bottom of the existing table. Notes: Once you have done this then you will have three new rows of cells attached to your existing table. Hope this helps some. Paul. --- This email is free from viruses and malware because avast!
