Hi Flor and Eleanor,

Thanks for the messages sent in.
Flor could you talk me through what to do in Recycle Bin. I went in here already but was unsure of what to do and didn't want to do any more damage.
I found a list of folders, e.g. Local Disks Folders, My Computer, etc. I was going to enter in here on My Computer, then go into my pen drive, but was unsure of where to go then. I may not even have been right going this far.
Sorry, but what are the flash memory tools? Do you need certain software on your computer for this?

The file could be in the ReCycle Bin on the computer.  If not there, then
nothing else should be written to the memory stick until a file recovery has been tried with the aid of flash memory tools. The Recycle Bin is the first 
port of call.  (I don't know much about the latter method.  But the files
are not completely gone yet from the Flash drive until the space they are in 
iswritten over.)

Once you delete it Roslyn it has gone, sad to say. Now of course if someone 
comes up with a more positive answer I will be delighted to hear it.  I
think if you hve not written over it and have not turned off the computer,
it might be possible to go back to your last Windows restore and see if you can get it back that way. I know Flor is brilliant when it comes to Windows restore and advice like this. No doubt he will come on and give an opinion.

 Made a big mistake today.

 Deleted a folder with all my personal files in it today off my memory
stick.  Is there anything I can do to try retrieve this?
