Hi Robert,
Below are the instructions for Spybot so you can have a go at this for a
start:
Firstly you may need to update your Spybot program, so try the following
instructions:
1. When you open up Spybot just down arrow to "Search for Updates" and
press the Enter key.
2. You will be presented with a list of updates which will need to be
checked before downloading them.
3. It may say" 6 updates are required to be downloaded so just down arrow
pressing the spacebar on each one until you have the six updates selected.
4. Then press the Alt key and right arrow over until you hear "Actions"
and
then down arrow until you land on "download updates" and just enter on
this.
Wait for a while and you may hear the percentage of the download and when
it
is 100% you have completed the download of the required updates. Now do
the
following instructions to scan your system and find out how to get rid of
your findings:
1. Press the Alt key and F and then down arrow to "Check for Problems"
and
enter.
2. Now spybot will start scanning your PC and this process may take
anything
from minutes to maybe half an hour or more so don't get impatient with it.
3. When the scanning is finished you can determine this is the case by for
instance "pressing the left alt key" once and if it says "file menu" then
you
will know the scanning part of the process is completed.
Now just repress the "left alt key" to come down off the menu bar as the
purpose for going up there was just to determine if scanning was finished.
4. Now we are ready to kill off any problems found so we need to press
keys
"left alt plus letter F" to begin the cleaning process.
Okay you may say here but this is the keystroke for opening up the file
menu, well normally you are correct but in this case and within spybot
this
keystroke
combination activates the cleaning process of spybot.
5. After you press the key combination of left alt plus F, you will be
presented with a choice of " delete x amount of selected objects?" "yes or
No".
You must tab key to the yes button and press the spacebar on it. You will
then get a final notice message telling you that you are about to delete
"x
amount of selected objects" "are you sure?, ok button or cancel!." You
should of course choose the "ok button" by hitting with the spacebar and
spybot
will begin the final part of the cleaning process by removing all located
spy ware from the list its found.
6. Use keys "left alt plus F4" to close the program back to the desktop.

Hi All,
I thought I would give you some items for your diaries. This is in
relation to keeping your computer spyware and virus clean. Perform
the following tasks and please make a note of when you last did these
procedurers and a note of when you should do them again. I recommend
at least once every fortnight.
1. Use "Ad-Aware" to check for spyware.
2. Use "Spybot" to check for spyware, note that you really need to use
both these programs as some spyware may not be picked up by one or
other of the two programs mentioned.
3. Do a manual virus check of your PC.
These steps apply to everyone.
Any questions about using the above mentioned software just write to
us here on the list.
