Hi Damien, You could use Sound Forge and one of the many associated noise reduction plug-ins, to achieve what you want. There are also free audio editors out there but I don't know how well they would work with noise reduction. One thing to be aware of when converting taped material is that if you take as much of the treble sound out as possible it may well reduce much of the hiss for you, that is, without even having to introduce a noise reduction plug-in. You can then add in some treble when you have digitised the material and it will sound better. Hope this might help. Stuart. Hi everyone. I'm looking for a piece of software that I can use to clean up taped material. Here's what I want to do. I want to transfer material on cassette onto my computer, clean it up and then reproduce it on cd. Does anyone have an idea as to what the most appropriate software to use would be? it would have to be compatible with jaws version 8. Thanks in advance. Damien O'Connor. ________________________________ I am using the Free version of SPAMfighter for Personal use. SPAMfighter has removed 1824 of my spam emails to date.
