Hi Robbie Thanks for that - i don't know why i was thinking of Ctrl-shift & enbter or ctrl-alt & enter. Also lads if anyone who likes using the drup down menus you go to Insert & Break & then another window appears & you can select what kind of break you want, page break, column etc. Just saw your message tim & I'll remember the short cut method in future.
