If the book isn’t in enhanced type setting, Jaws won’t read it. There are a few
of those it won’t read but in most cases, it will. With this particular book,
you might need something like codex so you can convert to epub.

I can’t speak to that book specifically, but there are definitely books where
your screen reader of choice will not work. And it reverts to that awful text
to speech. Ridiculous but true.

I was trying to read “Tom Sawyer” using kindle for pc version 28. Jaws wouldn’t
read it. The only way I can read it is with the text to speech which I don’t
usually like. Is it that some books work with JAWS and some do not?? Or is
there a setting I’m missing?
