Hi William. I have the Logitec keys-to-go keyboard for my iPhone and was
wondering how difficult it would be to use with the fire. It's a beautiful
keyboard, battery lasts forever, is spill-proof and is so very thin.
Definitely the best keyboard I've come across for any portable device. It
comes in different colours and I found that by buying the red one, I got it for
about half the original retail price. It cost £27.99 here in the UK on amazon
as opposed to £35 or even £54 in some places. My husband was so impressed with
mine that I got him one also.

Subject: [vi-kindle] Re: using Bluetooth with the Fire
hi peter. i have an anchor bluetooth keyboard. i got it from amazon for about
$20.
it's a small footprint keyboard, made of aluminum, with a battery
(rechargeable) that lasts forever.
it has keyboard layout options for ios/windows and android which would be the
kindle fire.
finding bluetooth pairing on the kindle fire is found by doing a two-finger
swipe from the top of the home page, tapping on settings, then wireless, and,
then on bluetooth. from there just follow what you hear. you will need to type
in a key, so, a sighted person doing this would be a plus.
for the kindle fire, the keyboard layout is an android layout. so, i had to
muck around to find the proper keystrokes for tabbing, deleting and such. but,
when it comes to typing it's the same as any other full-size keyboard.
it makes typing much easier than using the virtual keyboard in my estimation.
again, you will probably need a sighted person to originally pair the keyboard
to the fire.
you will need to do this just once, it will pair automatically in the future
when you turn on the keyboard with the kindle fire running.
you probably would like someone to read the keyboard instructions, since it
gives the proper key sequence to switch from the three possible operating
systems.
really easy, but, you need to know how to get the keyboard to android.
i have two of these keyboards. one for my fire and the other for my windows
tablet.
stay well ... william

Hi list, I am Peter Russillo; I just received my Fire HD 8 tablet.
Now I want to eventually pair it with a Bluetooth keyboard. Since
this will be my
first time with Bluetooth, what can be done on the Bluetooth keyboard
when it's paired with the Fire, and what things can't be done with it
while interacting with the tablet? Please enlighten me on Bluetooth
and what can
and cannot be done using that kind of keyboard. Thanks.
