Hi,

I have given up on trying to use the app to read. It does not work for me. I have tried all of the mentioned suggestions. I did reinstall Codex, so I can use it to make my books accessible. Thanks for all suggestions. Now, I just need to get all of my books converted.

You might want to explore the menus in Kindle for PC. There are keyboard commands. Pressing Control+t starts and stops reading. Control+w closes the book.
