Thanks so much for the info and I now have Alexa working fine.
Now do you have a tip for getting OK Google to work? It has been trained and says it is on for all screens but when I say OK Google, nothing happens.
also is it possible to make the Google keyboard the default?

hi marie. read this blog post. link follows.

http://williambrandes.com/blog/?BlindAccess___AmazonFireTablet

but, a couple quick hints.

1. you don't need an echo for alexa and the fire to work. all is
explained in the link above. 2. to open a link for options (like a
right mouse click) do a double tap and hold then when it opens swipe
for options.

stay well ... william

First of all I have spent over an hour trying to get Alexa to work with the
Fire tablet. I have an Echo and it shows it as online but I can not find a
way to get the Fire online even though it lists it under devices.
Next even after going through the Voiceview tutorial, I can not find the
gesture to expand a drop down list.
Third I downloaded the Google keyboard but can’t set it as the default.
Thanks for any help on these problems.
