Hello everyone.
So on my freak Samsung phone, there's an internal storage capacity of 8 GB.
I've only had the phone for a month and already am reduced to 1 GB of free
space in the unit. i did however buy an SD card last week, so potentially have
30 GB of space to play with. I successfully moved the Word Web Audio dictionary
to the card. However I noticed that many applications do not seem to allow you
to do this. Is this for speed reasons? I am trying to figure out how I can keep
from running out of space on this unit, and I discovered that Nearby Explorer
Online was taking up over 600 MB of space. There doesn't however seem to be a
way for me to move it to my SD card. Am I missing something? is there a way I
can do this which I'm just not finding?
Also, this makes me think ... I'm seriously considering acquiring the paid
version of this product. i was out of town yesterday but did not want to use
the Online Nearby Explorer because of the astronomical amount of data it uses.
Roaming fee and all that. And it just seems like it would be a good idea to
have all these maps and such downloaded, which the paid version does
automatically, from what I've been reading. But I also read that this version
of the app, with all its map data, is about 4 GB in size! Obviously there's no
way in hell I'd ever be able to get this on my phone's internal storage. SO,
can this version be used on an SD card? I'm surprised that apps don't let you
know immediately when you are about to download and install if you won't be
able to put them on a card. Seems like it would save a lot of hassle. or am I
just being clueless again about how Android is supposed to work?
Thanks guys.
