OK, let me say this is just a user preference. No one including myself ever
said that the app drawer didn't work out of the box. It does, but not how I'd
like it to.
Firstly, I have a little bit of vision and for me, it was great because I had a
solid black colored background as my wallpaper. Then, with Nova launcher, I was
able to set the app drawer to a multi-page view. so rather than sliding up with
two fingers to scroll the app drawer, I'd instead have all icons on one screen,
then if needed, I'd two finger flick left or right to move to the next or
previous page of app icons in the app drawer.
In addition, I had it set with the app drawer's transparency to 100%, which
worked great! as with me having a solid black wallpaper, this meant the
background of the app drawer was solid black which gave me a really nice high
contrast. With the google Now launcher, I'm not seeming to get that. It looks
like it's fixed on it's solid white background.
Before anyone suggests it, no. I do not want to enable invert colors.
I like how I have the colors on the rest of my device. All I'm trying to do is
get that look and feel back in my GNL app drawer.
I'll gladly switch back to Nova if I can import my current icon layout from the
Google Now Launcher. The other thing is, I'll do so, if, and only! if, I get
custom action ability like I do with Google Now. To me, that is an absolute
must! Must must must!
If that can't be done, and I'm kind of in a catch 22 perdicament therefore,
then don't worry about it. I'll just deal with the app drawer as is. It's
annoying, but, I'll live with it if I ab, suh, lootly must as a last resort.
I'd rather not though.
