Oh, so I have to convert the percentage to a decimal? I say the results
are inconsistant because with some problems I get the correct result,
mainly with subtracting percentages, but when adding to them, like for
sales taxes, it's usually wrong.
I'm asking this mainly because I'm working with a deaf-blind person who
has to take a test on using a calculator, in which there are percentage
problems dealing with money, and it will be rather embarrassing to
explain that the "smart braille display" cannot handle percentages which
an old talking calculator can do with ease. Very disappointing.

What do you mean “doesn’t produce consistent results?”
How are you entering the problems? For 10% of 40, you’d do 40*.1 which equals 4.
Thanks,
Bill

Hi all. Tried to send this yesterday but I suppose it didn't work. So, I'm
trying to enter percentage problems in math with the VU calculator, problems
like 10 percent of 40, with 40+10%100. This does not produce the correct result
all the time, with all problems I try. So, how can I do this consistantly,
percentages I mean?
